Tags must be assigned to every posting. They are used in order to structure your accounts.
Taking the example of the invoice from the garage, for instance, you can choose various tags (service, licence plate, vehicle, etc.). This enables you to see not only what your car is costing, but also details such as the expenses that are incurred each year just for servicing.
Choose the tags with care. To ensure the auditors of your accounts also understand what you mean, we recommend using the same tags for recurring postings.
