To make a double payment as an advance payment, a corresponding invoice can be created. So that this is recognised by the system, an item of the advance payment type must be generated.
If the invoice is created for the relevant partner, this appears in the bank reconciliation as well as the partner reconciliation.
After the invoice in the bank reconciliation is associated with the double payment, the invoice is marked as “paid”. This can then be linked with the open positions in the partner reconciliation.
If there are no open positions, you will be informed when creating the next invoice for the corresponding customer which they still have an advance payment. You can include them directly in the invoice and thus offset the amount already paid.
