Summary
Here you will learn what tags are. In KLARA, tags replace the subaccounts in the income statement and help structure your accounting.
What are tags?
By choosing the tags, you determine to some extent how your income statement is structured. The requirements of the Swiss Code of Obligations regarding the minimum structure of the income statement are maintained.
Tags must be assigned to every booking. They are used to structure your accounting.
What are the advantages of tags?
- You can choose different tags, for example, for an invoice from an auto repair shop (vehicle expenses, service, vehicle, etc.).
- When filtering by tags in the journal, you can see not only how much your car costs, but also in detail how high, for example, the annual expense for servicing your company car is.
- Your accounting becomes more transparent and easier to understand.
Where are tags assigned?
Tags are assigned to every booking, which is why you will find the required field in the following workflows:
Record item -- Post receipts -- manual booking -- Configure payment reconciliation in Sync
Can I use the same tags repeatedly?
Absolutely! We recommend using the same tag for recurring bookings. This provides an overview and helps with the audit of your accounting.
Can I assign multiple tags to a booking?
Yes. Note that the first tag is the one that is listed in the income statement. The subsequent tags are used for analysis or filtering..
So, if you use multiple tags (for example, vehicle expenses, service, and vehicle), only the tag "vehicle expenses" will be displayed in the income statement. However, if you search for "vehicle" in the journal, you will also find this and all other bookings with this tag.
