This article describes the KLARA online shop and how to work with it.
Once the online shop has been activated in the Widget Store, it can be accessed in KLARA via the overview page in the corresponding widget or via the menu item "Online".
What are the main steps?
Configuring the shop
The colours can be selected using the uploaded logo in "General Settings". It is possible to create a very personalised colour by clicking on the paintbrush. There are also a variety of fonts to choose from. This allows the online shop to be customised to a particular corporate image. To see the customisations, there is an abstract preview pane that shows both examples of text and a logo section. The whole online shop can be viewed using the "See it live" button.
Shop configuration
The online shop can be configured in detail in the Web Page modules area. KLARA generates an URL for your shop automatically. You can also use it as a link on websites in order to bring even more customers to your shop.
The shop email address is the standard email address that you entered in the master data for your company. You can also edit it there at any time. This address will be used to inform you of purchase orders from the shop.
Price categories
Here you can select which of the price categories that you stored for the articles are to apply for the online shop. You can, for instance, choose to make prices in the online shop different from those in your physical shops. You can store the price category "Online shop" for the articles that are displayed in the online shop so that a different price is shown.
A sales price can also be entered via other price categories, for example. In this case both the original price and the new, reduced price will then be displayed in the shop.
Should you want to charge your shipping costs, you can create a corresponding article and then select it here. This means that the defined shipping cost amount will be added to every shipment, itemised and subsequently also posted correctly.
Collection option
If it is possible to order goods online and collect them from the local shop, this option can be activated here.
Shipping profiles
Here you can define a range of shipping options, such as A-Post (priority) or B-Post (ordinary). You can then set various shipping charges according to price or weight. They will be presented for the customer to choose from when making the purchase and then charged as an extra cost. The amount will be added to the article for shipping costs. If the purchase sum is over CHF 100.00, for instance, the shipping costs can be remitted.
Additional shipping attributes
If the products are particularly fragile and need a special form of shipping, an attribute such as "Fragile" can be entered here. It is then possible to define an additional price for the special handling of the goods. This will subsequently be added to the shipping costs.
Shop terms of use
A PDF document can be uploaded in this area. It should contain the terms of use of the shop. The customer must accept these terms of use when making a purchase.
Thank you page
Here you can enter a message thanking the customer for their purchase. The shop can be created in up to four languages. The languages in which the shop is displayed can be defined here. The shop will be displayed in every language in which a text was created.
Text customisations
The "Company - Print Layout - Standard Texts" area features an option for customising the email that is sent when confirming an order. Important! This text will be used not only in the online shop, but also for other confirmations of order that are sent directly via the order management system.
Preparing articles for the online shop
To make an article available in the online shop, the slider in the online shop area can be activated when editing the article. Categories and filters can then be set. These will be used to put the article into a specific category, where it can be further defined with a filter.
Search terms and SEOs make it even easier for customers to find their way round the shop.
The shipping attributes defined in the online shop can be added via the shipping details. If, for instance, fragile is selected here, as in the example above, the shipping costs rise if this article is selected. Caution! If the customer buys multiple articles with the same shipping attribute, this will only be invoiced once.
When the shipping information is being defined, further details which can be used in connection with the shipping profiles can be stored for the article.
Once you have set up your online shop and activated the desired articles accordingly, they will be displayed in the online shop automatically and your customers will be able to buy your products online straight away!
Please note:
It is not possible to sell articles with the product type "gift card" via the online shop.
Gift cards/vouchers can only be sold on the KLARA POS.
Processing purchase orders from the online shop
When a purchase order is placed via the online shop, this generates an email with a copy of the confirmation of order that was also sent automatically to the customer. In addition, a new order with the status "Online" was created automatically in the Order Management area.
The confirmation of order can also be viewed here and can now be processed. If you like, you can change the status from "Online" to "In preparation" yourself. When the order is opened, the confirmation of order can be opened via the three dots. The "Create" function allows you to create a delivery note or direct invoice with the same information. The invoice can also be sent directly to the customer by email. To maintain an overview, KLARA changes the status of the order automatically.
If the customer has not yet been created in your KLARA customer file, a profile is created automatically when they make a purchase.
If the KLARA accounting system has been set up, then after the customer has made payment and the bank reconciliation has been performed in KLARA the claim is automatically set to "Paid" and the status of the order in your order management system is updated accordingly.
