Summary
KLARA has radically simplified accounting. Therefore, you do not first have to laboriously create a chart of accounts for your company; instead, you can start posting entries right away without creating a chart of accounts. The chart of accounts is predefined in KLARA, which means it cannot be changed. The structure within the income statement is defined, supplemented, and organized using tags.
Structure of the income statement
Tags are assigned only when entries are posted and are therefore created in the income statement. This means you do not enter tags in the income statement from the beginning. That is why you will find the required field "Tags" for various postings and when creating items.
About tags
Only the first tag is included in the income statement. Multiple tags can be assigned. For more information about tags, see the article Tags - What are tags?
- Only the first tag is listed in the income statement.
- You can search for or filter by all tags (including the second and third tags).
You can find examples and help on how you could assign tags (depending on your industry) in this article: Structure in accounting, organization using tags.
Change or delete tags
Did you assign an incorrect tag to one or more postings? If you want to change or delete a tag, go to 'Accounting' in the menu, select 'Reports', then 'Journal', and search for the desired posting using the filter criteria. Then select the posting line that you want to change:
- You can delete the first tag only if at least a second tag has been entered.
- If you want to change the tag, enter the correct one as the second tag and then delete the first one.
- If the entire structure is incorrect or tags have been entered with an incorrect name, go to the Tag Manager.
Manage income using items—Which income is included where?
If you post your invoices through the order management system or use our POS, you can manage the income in the income statement through item creation. More information.
