Summary
A UID (Uniform Company Identification Number) is a unique identifier assigned to every company in Switzerland since January 2011, streamlining administrative processes.
Since January 2011, every company active in Switzerland has been allocated a uniform company identification number (UID).
This system replaces various administration numbers, such as commercial register or VAT numbers, with a single, uniform identifier. The use of the UID reduces the administrative burden on businesses and enhances the efficiency of bureaucracy.
If you do not have a UID, you can remove the tick when registering and capture your company manually instead.
