The transfer of client relationships from UBS will begin in Q3/4 2025.
All affected clients will be informed directly by UBS in advance about the exact procedure and the next steps.
Information about the transfer in KLARA:
- The file formats supported by KLARA (pain and camt) are compatible with both the existing CS bank connection and the future UBS bank connection. This means that the bank connection will continue to function smoothly and as usual after the transfer.
- Once you have received your new UBS IBAN, you can easily set up the bank connection by following these instructions: https://support.klara.ch/hc/en-us/articles/5895497580828-Set-up-bank-connection
- We recommend connecting the UBS account on the Monday after the transfer weekend to avoid any data gaps. You should then check the closing balance of the CS account (is the balance correct before the funds are transferred to UBS?) and record the receipt of funds in the UBS account. This way, you can be sure that everything will continue seamlessly. Detailed instructions for the account transfer can be found below. Note: the balance will remain in the CS account for some time, even if the CS account is inactive after the transfer weekend and the UBS account is used.
- The balanced CS account will remain in KLARA (so that historical data is retained).
Account transfer from CS to UBS:
In KLARA, you can post this account transfer in Sync for both the UBS and CS accounts using the “Place on transfer account” function to transfer account 1090. The two postings balance each other out there, so that the balance of the transfer account is zero at the end.
