To prevent duplicate or conflicting orders, a table or a take-away order is locked as soon as a register is actively working on the order.
The table/take-away order is marked in the corresponding overview with a lock icon and the order on the table cannot be changed.
If you select the table anyway, a popup will appear showing which register and which server is processing the order:
The lock is released as soon as another order is selected on the register that had locked the order.
Taking an Order
When taking a table or take-away order for the first time, the lock is only set after the order has been saved by the server.
Adjusting an Order
If an occupied table or a take-away order is selected, a lock is immediately set so that this register can make all changes to the order without interruption.
Manually Releasing a Lock
If a table remains locked—for example, if a user has adjusted the order and goes on break without selecting another table—you can release the lock by clicking on the table’s menu and selecting “Unlock Table.”
